Julia
Roberts is probably the biggest Hollywood name I could find here, but
others have dabbled in the religion, including George Harrison, Marilyn
Monroe, Madonna, Britney Spears, and Sting. This religion is one of the
oldest in the world, and is rooted primarily in the following
principals: reincarnation, acceptance of all other forms of religion
(while simultaneously rejecting religious labels),
karma, dharma, yoga,
and ultimately a liberation of the death/rebirth. (In other words, YES,
I’m pretty sure we can blame
Hinduism for that ridiculous show
Dharma & Greg.) Just last year, Roberts spoke to Elle about her faith, claiming that the whole family goes to temple to:
“…chant and pray and celebrate. I’m definitely a practicing Hindu.”
And as for her next life, Julia is modest:

Hindus to honor Julia Roberts for steadfast devotion to Hinduism

Hindus have decided to honor Oscar winner Hollywood star Julia Roberts
(Pretty Woman) for her unwavering devotion to Hinduism and her endorsing
Hinduism in a way no Hollywood celebrity seems to have done in the
past.
It was nearly two years ago she confessed of being a
“practicing Hindu”, and she seems to be sticking to it devotedly. She
finds India “spiritually healing” and her visit to India in the past was
“a spiritually enlightening experience” for her.
According
to recent reports in Indian media, she is planning to buy a house in
India near one of Hinduism’s holy cities, thus becoming first Hollywood

Selena Gomez was criticized

was not. In her attempt to represent the Hindu culture in a creative
way, Gomez was misunderstood and called “insensitive”.
Selena Gomez’s bindi accessory has caused a lot of uproar, but her
use of the bindi has brought Hinduism to the forefront. In a country
where Christianity, Islam, and Judaism dominate, Selena Gomez made
people aware of the Hindu religion and culture with her use of this
accessory. Her interest in the culture sparked an interest in young
people all over the world.
